Milk-fed lamb, quail and changes to our menus

The game season is coming to a finish as we approach February which means subtle changes to our menus.
Quail is coming on, an ingredient I’m excited about bringing to The Crown. It’s a delicate bird but rich in flavour and one I am sure our customers will enjoy here in Suffolk.

We are also replacing our suckling pig on Sundays with beautiful milk-fed lamb at the end of February. It’s slightly paler in colour but still very pink, and wonderfully tender. As with how we served our suckling pig, the lambs will be boned, rolled and roasted. Make sure you come and try it – in terms of flavour and texture, it’s special and unique to the area.

The big change in seasonal produce takes place this March when spring begins to arrive. Follow our blog to keep up-to-date. We regularly update all our menus online too, so keep an eye out for the exciting ingredients we are serving here at our restaurant in Woodbridge.
