Wimbledon Week

Find out what we're up to whilst the nation's favourite tennis tournament is taking place!
Wimbledon is the oldest tennis tournament in the world, and widely considered the most prestigious. It has been held at the All England Club in London since 1877 and is one of the four Grand Slam tennis tournaments (or Majors), the others being the Australian Open, the French Open (Roland Garros) and the US Open.

Since the Australian Open shifted to hard court in 1988, Wimbledon is the only Major still played on grass, the game's original surface, which gave the sport's original name of "lawn tennis".

We love Wimbledon here at The Crown, and will be celebrating throughout the tournament period with our very own 'Wimbledon Strawberry Week' where we will be serving a series of special desserts! Simply ask a member of our friendly team when you're dining at our restaurant here in Woodbridge and they'll be happy to run you through our special options.

Sticking with the Strawberry theme, we'll also be hosting a Strawberry Desserts and Cocktails Demo, hosted by our very own our sous chef, Tony, and bar manager, Lee, later in July. Click here, for details.

For more information, please email or call us on: 01394 384242

Finally, best of luck to Andy Murray - you can do it!
