Chef-patron Stephen David on his culinary intent:-
"Giving a distinct sense of place has been the intention with the Crown. Woodbridge's riverside setting inspired the new Nantucket style interiors and we have endeavoured with the food to do justice to the natural Suffolk larder around us.
My style of cooking is simple, both in words and on the plate, taking earthy flavoursome raw materials and doing just enough to show them off at their best. I prefer quite bold flavours and hearty satisfying dishes, refined in an arty fashion but avoiding over-complexity and fussy presentation.
Being blessed with this bounty of wonderful ingredients around us, I hope that they shine through on the plate.
