When we talk about our food here at The Crown's restaurant, we think of all the great local suppliers we have fantastic relationships with. Over the last five years, we have discovered and engaged with many local businesses of all sizes, be they farmers, fishermen or artisans in Suffolk and the surrounds of Woodbridge. Our 'food heaven' is to engage with and understand the ethos employed by each of these producers; aiming to embrace their passion and deliver this on a plate for our audience, accompanied with our own 'wow factor'.
Our team here at The Crown Restaurant in Woodbridge are regularly hunting for ingredients that will give us the edge over our competitors. One of the things we love to do is forage the banks of the River Deben, Shingle Street and a few other secret spots. Suffolk is a special county and we are blessed with some of the best producers, farmers and fishermen to call upon when we are creating our menus.
Our cooking is a mixture of rustic and refined dishes that are defined by the very ingredients that we use as the main elements of each dish. Flavour is the most important aspect of each and every plate we produce, which means finding the right ingredients that are in season and work best with the main element of the dish. Local, seasonal, fresh and tasty are our key words; all served up with a smile, pride and passion. Our food is served informally, but with professionalism and knowledge. Our ultimate aim is to delight our customers with bold flavours and textures which work together, resulting in a memorable dining experience.
